weekend for hysterical

so many things happen in a small amount of time.

one of the greatest ones was last wednesday night. we were away at castaway in the country preparing for a staff retreat. i couldn't sleep, and just as i was about to plug in the ipod loud, when i notice that a storm was looming. so @ 1:45 i decided to start walking the camp grounds.

i had the chance to stare into the blankness of night and seeing it light up from one single glimpse of illuminating power. lightning is so amazing, hotter than the sun, quick as the shutter of an eye, and yet so bright, that it turned the dark cold lake into a scenic piece of mental artwork that is burned in my head.

it was time of stress for me, my brain doing a lot of overhaul on tasks that need to get done, things to focus on, and yet during the focused time of rain jumping off the window pain and the faint rumble of the thunder, it all seems to melt away.

i love the thunder, i love the ponder, i love the time to do it all in, i love my God.
