rubber on the road

yes, i am alive. although it may not appear to be true based on blog outputs, it is quite the contrary.
so i just got back from a long trip, away from contact, the worries, duties and tasks that accompany me here at home. i miss work. dont get me wrong, i love a nice lazy vacation (although lazy was not in the vacation blue print this time around), but when you love your job, the people you work with, the feeling of accomplishment and not to mention some freaking awesome kids, you cant beat that.
but i came back to a tidal wave of responsibilities. i was (am) swept away by it all and being drug out to sea. i am at a point in my life where a lot of hard decisions have been made already, but now is the point in which i must carry them out, as i like to call it, rubber meets the road time. the problem is, are my tires able to handle that pressure?
i can use this illustration because my tires (on the car) suck. the alignment is off enough to wear the tread wrong so that it makes this loud sound as i run down the highway, and one tire looses pressure quite regularly. oh boy. it is fun burnin the tires, flyin down the road, but i usually forget to care for them as i use them. it is not easy or entertaining caring for your tires, but it is a must, without them, you don't go.
so yes push forward, hit the gas, enjoy the wind in your hair (if you got any), but also be mindful of the car (body, soul, and mind) you use daily. take care of it, it is a gift, and we must be mindful of this precious gift given to us.
all that being said, i dont want to do a lot of the things i need to do. so here's an open prayer that i do what is right, not what is easiest. raise your glasses to life, and cheer on the difficulties that we need to face daily.
